we believe that god hears and answers the prayers of his people!
We gather every Thursday night at 7 pm at The Colonial Room diner Banquet Hall for prayer and to hear from God's Word. Along with our service, from 6 pm-7 pm, we serve our local homeless neighbors by delivering hot meals, fresh clothes, hygiene kits, and ultimately help our homeless friends take their next step in their journey towards comprehensive restoration.
We have a deep burden to reach the lost, broken, and hopeless in Sanford, Florida. As we look back in history we can't help but see that the start of any revival in the Church always began with prayer! We all need prayer. In the early Church in The Acts of the Apostles, we see Christians praying fervently for the Hope of the Gospel to go forward and transform the cities in which they lived. God answered and moved among his people in mighty ways. We believe that if we are going to see people saved, transformed, and restored, it will begin with the people of God praying. Restoration will happen after prayer! You're invited to join us for a time of sincere prayer, Bible study, and fellowship!
You can park behind the Colonial Room Restaurant near the Wells Fargo. The parking lot will give you access directly to the Banquet room.
From 6 pm-7 pm, we serve our local homeless community with a hot meal. We also help with passing out hygiene kits and clothing items. The aim of our outreach is to build relationships with our homeless friends so that they will know they are not alone in their journey but have people who care for them and love them. Our team serves to help our homeless neighbors take their next step in their journey towards restoration. Our goal is to bring an overall comprehensive restoration to our local homeless community. At 7 pm we start our service by praying through the Psalms. After a time of praying through the Psalms, we have a sweet time of worship. We love a mix of both modern contemporary worship, Gospel soul, and classic hymns. After our time of worship, we will have a time of expository preaching of God’s Word. We typically study through books of the Bible rather than topical sermons. Lastly, we end our time with prayer requests that have been submitted on our website or at our location along with prayer petitions from anyone who joins the gathering. We allot a significant amount of time for prayer because we truly believe in the power of prayer. The gathering will last an hour, although we are very sensitive to the Holy Spirit in our time of prayer.
All our welcome and encouraged to come and meet the Triune God of Scripture. Families are welcome with children!
How Can we Pray For you?
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person
has great power as it is working.
